A recall that knows which unit you are holding
A recall can name lots, serial numbers, a range of printed dates or the site a unit was made at. The resolver reads them from the scanned code: a recalled unit stops on the recall notice, every other unit of the same product goes to its page. A code that does not say enough to tell gets the notice.
